The housements, however, went to carry on with the task regardless of the difficulty. Kuya's instruction was to take the yolks and whites from the eggs without breaking the shells. Large syringes were provided to siphon the yolks and the egg whites and preserve the shells. Despite the meticulous procedure, the housemates successfully siphoned all the eggs. When the leche flan mixture was prepared, the housemates painstakingly injected the mixture back into the shell.
The challenging part though was the steaming of the leche flan egg. The housemates thought that all they needed to do was cover the tiny holes in the shell, place the eggs in the steamer, and wait for a few minutes. Unfortunately, they didn't expect that the shells might crack while being steamed. Wendy was shocked when she opened the cooker and saw the leche flan leaking from the holes. The housmates immediately remedied the problem by putting only a small amount of the leche flan content inside the shells and by allowing one hole open to let the heat out.
Making leche flan eggs may not be as easy as it seemed, but our housemates believe that with their teamwork and determination, success will happen again. Hmm...will the leche flan eggs pass Kuya's taste test? Are our housemates destined to have a glorious Easter Sunday? Keep watching Pinoy Big Brother Season 2 for this story and more.
